Royal Visit to Rhondda

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have paid a visit to Rhondda.
The couple were in Treorchy this afternoon to meet people in the town’s award winning High Street on the first day of their annual week-long visit to Wales.

In Cardiff earlier they visited BBC Wales’s new Headquarters to officially launch public tours of the state-of-the-art facility in Central Square, before visiting the statue of Betty Campbell outside.

Then, while the Duchess of Cornwall visited the domestic and sexual violence charity, RISE Cardiff in Longcross Street, the Prince of Wales who is Colonel-in-Chief visited 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards at Cardiff City Hall.
From Treorchy the Royal couple travelled to Llandovery to host an evening of music and drama celebrating Welsh Culture, followed by a Diplomatic Reception.
