Pontyclun RFC Hosts Charity Rugby Match to Support Taff Ely Foodbank

Local club Pontyclun RFC is rallying the community for a cause that hits close to home, hosting a charity rugby match on Wednesday 10th September at 6:30pm in aid of Taff Ely Foodbank.

The evening promises a high-energy match, great local atmosphere, and the opportunity to make a real difference. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support the Foodbank’s vital work, providing emergency food parcels and baby supplies to individuals and families across the region.

As part of the event, Pontyclun RFC will also host a food drive. Spectators are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food or baby essentials to help restock the Foodbank ahead of the busy autumn and winter seasons.

Entry details are to be confirmed shortly, but organisers are already inviting the local community to save the date and follow the Facebook event page for updates.

Taff Ely Foodbank, based in Pontyclun, has supported thousands across the CF72 area and beyond, and demand for support continues to rise. Events like this ensure the Foodbank can
keep meeting that need.
